Purtroppo Katia soffre di cardiomiopatia ipertrofica e che è stata la causa della morte del papà. E’ una patologia ereditaria, per questo dopo sua figlia Agata, nata nel 2010 dal legame con Angelo Pisani, non ha voluto avere altri figli.
La dieta vera e propria non è mai stata resa nota, la diretta interessata ha solamente specificato di essersi sottoposta ad un regime alimentare specifico e tanto allenamento con un personal trainer. Quindi nessuna dieta miracolosa per Katia Follesa ma solo tanta volontà di tornare in forma e avere la salute in perfette condizioni. Ora è dimagrita e si sente bene e il problema al cuore sembra quasi essere sparito anche se deve assumere farmaci necessari per tenere a bada la malattia.
